Make sure you have a big amount saved for your everyday water. Tap water in China is really harmful as it contains heavy plastic. It is not safe for drinking and thus for everyday use, you will have to purchase a bottle of mineral water.
Don't try your Indian bargaining skills in China. People here don't consider bargaining as a good thing. However, you can bargain at open markets.
When in China, you will need to keep your passport with you at all times. You can be anytime asked to show your passport. The police here will consider it as an offense if you don't show them your passport or visa and you can also get into legal trouble.
