If you love to travel and the next destination on your bucket list is China, then you must keep a lot of things in mind. Here are a few tips you must take note of if you are travelling to China:
You Don't Get A Visa Easily
Though we are neighboring countries, it is really not easy to get a Chinese Visa that easily. Getting a Visa for China is as difficult as passing a mathematics exam at school. To enter China, one needs to have a stamped visa on the passport. If you are planning to visit China, make sure you apply for your visa at least two months before.
You Will Need VPN To Operate Google
Smartphones have made our lives easier. Be it Google, Google Maps, Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. We all are connected and we constantly know that there is always Google for help! However, when you are in China, you may face a lot of trouble in terms of this. Google, Facebook, and Twitter are banned in China. China has its own browser. If you wish to use Google or Facebook on your phone, you will need to download VPN.
ATMS Don't Accept Foreign Cards
Don't carry plastic money while traveling to China. China ATMs don't accept foreign cards. If you wish to buy anything, you can use WeChat Wallet or Apple Pay. Otherwise, make sure you carry enough currency with you.

No Tips, Please
It is more like a ritual to leave tips at restaurants or hotels for the staff in India. However, this doesn't work in China and isn't considered something good. So you don't need to leave tips for anyone!
Don't Drink Tap Water
Make sure you have a big amount saved for your everyday water. Tap water in China is really harmful as it contains heavy plastic. It is not safe for drinking and thus for everyday use, you will have to purchase a bottle of mineral water.
Say No To Bargaining
Don't try your Indian bargaining skills in China. People here don't consider bargaining as a good thing. However, you can bargain at open markets.
Keep Your Passport Handy At All Times
When in China, you will need to keep your passport with you at all times. You can be anytime asked to show your passport. The police here will consider it as an offense if you don't show them your passport or visa and you can also get into legal trouble.
