We all have or are aspiring to take a trip to Europe, explore all the countries, treat our eyes and soul to the beauty this continent has to offer. Be it the hills of Switzerland, the romantic vibes of Paris or the wonders of Greece and Italy. If you are planning a trip this summer, there are some key points, tips that are important for you to keep in mind.
Check Visa Requirements
Not every country needs a visa in Europe but some do and they do not let you pass through if you don't have one. While most countries in Europe don’t require a visa for short visits, it’s best to know which countries do. Before your trip, we recommend that you do aquick search online and check out the tourist visa requirements and whether you need to acquire a visa upon arrival at the airport or online prior to arrival.
Travel During Off Season
Ditch the overcrowded beaches and tourist areas and travel when it's an offseason, Fewer people, prettier pictures, shorter ques, and more fun is what we guarantee. You alsosave money on accommodations, airfare, train tickets, and tours. Do make sure to check closing times as some might have shorter hours during the off-peak travel season.
Use Budget Airlines
There are so many budget airline carriers throughout Europe, you can fly to almost anywhere on the continent for cheap. At times the airfare will be cheaper than the train fare, but the least expensive seats tend to sell out the fastest.
Travel by Train
Traveling by train in Europe is often efficient — and depending on your destination — easier than air travel. Instead of booking it online every time, you could also book your ticket at the train station with an actual person because some options are not available at the kiosks.
Make Reservations in Advance
Making reservations in advance is the best way to secure accommodations and tours, especially in peak travel season.
Bring Comfortable Shoes to Walk Everywhere
/p>
So that you can walk around easily and not be tired with just a few steps or have shoe bites etc, we recommend that you wear shoes which are comfortable for long walks and cobbled streets there. If you want to wear new shoes, it is important that you break them in to avoid shoe bites and corns.

Don’t Plan on Using Credit Cards Everywhere
It does seem that the entire world accepts credit card, but my dear ladies, it may not be so in the smaller towns and many places just like in India. So, it is best that you carry some cash with you. Also, remember you are charged a transaction fee every time you use a card. Before you go on the triporder foreign currency at your bank or visit an ATM at the airport upon arrival. Airport ATMs don’t always have the best exchange rate, but it’s better than finding yourself stuck without any cash.
Bring a Suitcase You Can Carry
There is a lot of running around that has to be done during the trip like navigating the train station, walking on cobblestone streets, carrying your luggage up several flights of stairs at your hotel (often European Hotels Don’t Have Elevators). It is important that you pack light and buy a luggage bag that can be easily carried around.

Shop At Family Businesses
Take the off beaten track and check out smaller businesses around like family-run patisserie or the gelato place on the corner. Meet and mingle with the locals, have what the locals have, believe me, you will have more fun and probably taste something better than the typical touristy spot. Also, remember that the restaurants with pictures on the menu cater to a tourist crowd, which means their prices may be high as well. Learn some food phrases in your destination’s language, or carry a translator.
