The topic of mental health issues is still a hush-hush topic in Indian society. Most of the parents still deny to believe that mental health problems exist and that it needs equal care, attention and diagnosis as any other disease.
Mental health issues include anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), among others which require therapy. Something that is still an alien concept in most Indian households.
In order to spread awareness, the world celebrates Mental Health Day today, on October 10. And on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, we have curated four Bollywood films that dealt with mental health in the past decade.
