“We have been in a live-in relationship for four years. When my sister got married in 2021, our conversation started. She used to call me to her house. I told her that this was not acceptable in society, but she did not listen. I tried to talk to her mother many times, but she threatened suicide. I then told her that we should inform our parents and live together. She said that if we did not live together, then we would run away," said Bina.
She further added that “Time passed slowly. When my mother, father, and brother began searching for a husband for me, she wanted me to break off the engagement somehow. She told me to refuse the proposal, which I did. This happened with every proposal that came my way. Recently, my brother arranged a match for me, and three or four months ago, I became pregnant. When I shared the news and showed her photos, she insisted that I must find a way to stop the marriage, regardless of the circumstances.”
