Vishnu Chalisa is a religious text which most Lord Vishnu devotees may have learnt by heart or may know it well. This Akshay Tritya which is on May 14 this year, praying to Lord Vishnu and singing the aarti, reciting the chalisa become crucial. Lord Vishnu is considered the epitome of love and kindness. He is one of the trinity of Gods where Lord Brahna & Lord Shiva are the other two. Lord Vishnu is well known for his incarnations if we go by the religious beliefs. It his many avatars or incarnations which help in protecting the world from an evil eye and let peace prevail eventually. Lord Vishnu is known for nine incarnations and his 10th is said to be that of Kalki who, as per religious theories, will arrive when the world is near its end.

To seek the blessings of this divine deity, the Vishnu Chalisa is said to be the best. The chalisa is the 40 verses of Lord Vishnu and is said to be very powerful and profound recitation. In fact, the belief is that even if you recite it witthout knowning the meaning, it is beneficial. Bheeshma is said to be the one with the theory that even if you just listen to the chalisa, you will be anew with your sins and fears washed aside.
