In India, we take pride in celebrating almost all the festivals with great pomp and show. Be it Diwali, Eid, Baisakhi, or Christmas, the fun and the enthusiasm is quite admiring. The year is almost about to end, and we can’t wait to observe the last festival of the year, Christmas.

One of the most significant parts of this festival is to decorate a Christmas tree. We know you must be thinking we don’t have an evergreen tree at our places. Instead of cutting down a tree from the garden or a jungle and bringing it to your home, it is best to work with what you already have. You can use any of the common frees found in India, such as yucca, palm or ficus. If you live in an apartment and don’t have any trees at your place, this is a perfect time to invest in an air-purifying tree that you can decorate as your Christmas tree.

Use Dried Citrus Wheels String For Decoration

Instead of wasting paper ribbons and using bright plastic ribbons, go with a green option. A dried citrus wheel string will look amazing, as it will add colour and mood to your tree. Also, they are really easy to make. Here’s what you will need to do:

• Start by cutting thin slices of lemon, lime or orange and dry them in the oven on 100-degree Celsius for two hours.
• Once their colours intensify and they look like stained glass, take them out of the oven.
• Let it cool and then take normal twine to attach them all together. The garland is ready to enhance the beauty of your tree.

Use Shells & Feathers

Ditch fake decorations made using thermocol and other plastic materials this season. Instead, use what nature has offered, such as feathers, seashells and also driftwoods.

Driftwood

Make it look amazing using some paint, glitter and sequins that you already have at home. These are easy to hang and are really light-weight to adorn any size Christmas tree.

Sea Shells

Using got glue first make loops by pasting twine on it. Then use colours and glitters to give more theme and mood to your Christmas tree.

You can either order them directly at home. Or if you have a garden full of amazing varieties, use that and make your Christmas tree stand out!
