According to the Indian Standard Time (IST), the solar eclipse will start at 12.15 pm and end at 4.07 pm.

Will There Be A Sutak Period In India?

Because the Surya Grahan will not be visible in India, it will have no religious significnace and there will be no Sutak period in the country.

For those who don't know, when a Solar Eclipse is visible in India, temples are closed and it is advised to not perform puja at home during the Sutak kaal as it is considered inauspicious. However, this time, since the solar eclipse will not be visible in the country, there will be no Sutak.

The solar eclipse will be be taking place in the Taurus zodiac sign of the horoscope and while it will not be visible in India, it might have some impact on pregnant women. We spoke to Astrologer Sonia Malikand she shared that the solar eclipse might not have a major effect on the zodiac signs but pregnant women should not take it lightly.

The Astro expert shared that pregnant women should follow some astrology tips to reduce the risk of malelifc effects of the solar eclipse on their baby's health.

• Pregnant women should avoid consuming a full meal during the time of solar eclipse. However, since their health and the well-being of the baby needs to be prioritised, they should consume fruits during this time.
• It is recommended to avoid using sharp objects during the duration of the solar eclipse as it can have adverse effects on the baby.
• Avoid looking at the sun during the eclipse time as it can have a bad effect on the eyes.
• Worship Lord Surya during the time of the eclipse and pray for the wellbeing of the child.
• Pregnant women should take a bath after the solar eclipse to prevent the ill effects of surya grahan on them and their baby.
