The second solar eclipse of the year will be visible mainly in the Southwestern part of Asia, Europe, the north-eastern part of the continent of Africa and the Atlantic.

Sutak Period
According to astrology, the Sutak period (an inauspicious time) starts about 12 hours before the start of the solar eclipse and during this time, the doors of the temples should be closed and no work like worship should be performed. However, it is a partial solar eclipse in India, therefore, the Sutak period will not take place. This is because the Sutak period is valid only where there is a total solar eclipse.

What Not To Do During Solar Eclipse
- According to astrology, food should not be eaten during the solar eclipse.
- Nothing should be cut or sewn during this time.
- It is believed that pregnant women should not use knives during this time.
However, the above three are merely superstitious beliefs. The only one you should be following is this one: do not look at the sun with naked eyes as it can damage your retinas.
