If users want to enjoy the same benefits, including unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day, for a full month, they would need to pay Rs 396, as doubling the validity period would cost an additional Rs 198.

The rationale behind Jio's launch of the Rs 198 plan is unclear. While it technically lowers the entry barrier for accessing 5G services, the real-world benefits seem limited.
