When Draupadi was molested in King Dhritrashtra’s court in front of her husband, it was Lord Krishna who came to her rescue. It is believed that when Dushasana was trying to remove the saree of Draupadi, Lord Krishna saved her.

In Vedic texts, Yama is described as the first mortal to die and reach the heavenly abode. According to the Vishnu Purana, Lord Bali asked Lord Vishnu for protection. He agreed and went on to become a doorman. While Lord Vishnu was not in his abode, Goddess Lakshmi went to Bali.

She was seeking shelter, and Lord Bali opened his doors for her. To say thank you, Goddess Lakshmi tied a Rakhi around his wrist. In return, Lord Bali asked her what gift she wanted, and Goddess Lakshmi revealed that she wanted her husband back. Lord Bali then came to know that Lord Krishna was protecting him as his doorman. As a promise to his sister, Lord Bali released Lord Vishnu from his duties.
