Sushmita Sen’s brother Rajeev Sen and Indian television actress Charu Asopa tied the knot in a traditional Hindu ceremony on Sunday, June 16, 2019. It was a destination wedding at Goa which saw family and close friends in attendance. Both Rajeev and Charu were looking adorable twinning in red on their wedding. Charu donned a crimson lehenga which drew resemblance to a Rajasthani bride’s attire. She accesorised her look with a heavy necklace, (naath) big nose ring and matha patti. Charu was looking no less than a stunning Indian bride as she wore traditional Rajasthani chooda on her hands. In her pictures, women can see her beautiful mehndi that she had applied on her hands with dulhan (bride) and dulha (groom) made on her right and left hand respectively. On the other hand, Rajeev looked dapper in a cream sherwani with a royal safa (turban) tied on his head and red shawl. Check out their pictures here.
In the latest picture shared on Instagram, the couple also had a Bengali tradition wedding where Rajeev as the Bengali bor or groom was seen wearing topor (headgear) while Bengali bou(bride) was seen wearing a mukut. Charu looked like a beautiful Indian bride after vermilion was applied on her forehead parting by Rajeev.
Sushmita Sen and her boyfriend Rohman Shawl, her two daughters - Rene and Alisah, also posed with the newly-wed couple.
Rajeev and Charu had a three-day destination wedding in a beach town, Goa. On June 14, the couple got engaged which was followed by mehndi and sangeet ceremonies on June 15.
For the haldi ceremony, Charu looked gorgeous in yellow lehenga. She wore gotta mathapatti and earrings to complete her look. Rajeev, on the other hand, left many ladies skip their breath with his haldi ceremony look. Check out the pictures here.
On Friday, June 14, Rajeev shared pictures and videos on Instagram of his engagement with Charu in Goa. The caption along with the post read, "I love you for a 1000 years & beyond #rajakibittu #engagement."
Charu was seen in a white gown with a wedding veil and Rajeev sported a white jacket over black trousers. Watch video:
Giving major couple goals, another picture posted by Rajeev showed the couple holding hands and looking towards the sea. The picture was captioned “She never gave up on me, i never let go of her #Rajakibittu (sic).”
Charu who rose to fame with television serial 'Mere Angne Mein', made her relationship official with Rajeev official in January this year. Since then it was no looking back for the made-for-eachother couple who have been posting pictures and videos of themselves together on social media.
The couple, Rajeev Sen and Charu Asopa went for a court marriage on June 7, 2019, which was attended only by close family members.
