Kajol Taught A Lesson By Daughter Nysa...On Social Media

Parenting is a tough task but what happens when the children have something to teach their parents? In a candid conversation with us, actor Kajol Devgan talked about how she has reached that stage where her daughter Nysa gives her gyaan about many things. Gone are the days when kids were clueless about their future planning. The kids these days are pretty smart about their life, she says. Read on to know what all Kajol’s daughter Nysa has taught her.

When Nysa Gave A Long Lecture About Social Media

Kajol revealed that she never cared too much about her social media presence. “While everyone was making their accounts online, I jumped on the bandwagon too but didn’t know much about handling it. Then one fine day I asked Nysa about it and she gave me a 15 minute long lecture about it. She taught me how to handle myself on the social media platforms, what are the benefits of social media presence, how beneficial it is for a brand and so on.

In fact, Nysa used to operate my account from time to time in the beginning. Let me be the admin, I mean, let me handle your account, she said and she did so till I learnt all the ropes”, Kajol says.

Kajol On Nysa Handling The Trolls

“Earlier, Nysa used to get upset and irritated due to the trollers but I explained how I get trolled too! If five people say bad things then 5000 people appreciate you too and that’s what you should pay attention to. Nysa is pretty smart so she got this point and has now learnt to ignore the trollers”, she says. Without my telling her so, she has kept her social media accounts private. That’s how the kids today are, they understand these things quickly, she added.

Nysa Has Her Future Plans Ready

“When we were kids, we had no idea about the days lying ahead of us. We didn’t know what we were supposed to do after completing studies or what was supposed to happen after completing a film. But the kids these days have a complete plan, Kajol says. One day when I casually asked Nysa about her future plans, she rattled off about her school and college and I just thought to myself that she has everything planned out. We think of our children as kids but don’t realise when they grow up”, says Kajol.

Kajol was seen in the coming of age movie Helicopter Eela which was all about helicopter parenting but seems like her parenting style is spot on as her daughter is all ready to take decisions by herself and also teach her parents a thing or two.
