In a shocking incident, a woman was held hostage at her Noida home by her cook and his two accomplices. The robbers took off Rs 60 Lakh in cash, jewellery, and property papers. The crime against women is nowhere stopping. In a recent incident, a woman was held hostage at her Noida home allegedly by her cook and his two accomplices, who then robbed Rs 60 lakh in cash, jewellery, and property papers. Days after the incident, police arrested two men who have been identified as Rajesg and Parveen alias Sonu alia Mota. They were a part of a larger Bihar-based gang. Police recovered Rs 4.7 lakhs from their possession. The incident took place on February 22, 2025, in Noida Sector 61.

During the probe, Crime Branch officials received details about Sonu’s whereabouts, information was gathered and a raid was carried out at Qutub Minar Metro Station in Delhi. He was arrested and another raid was conducted at Chattarpur Pahadi in Delhi and Rajesh was arrested.

Additional CP (Crime Branch) Sanjay Kumar Sain said, “Rajesh admitted that he and his co-accused (who is yet to be arrested) were the masterminds. He said they had been planning the heist for several weeks and their strategy involved infiltrating the victim’s household by placing a fourth man as a cook under the false name of Rahul.”

According to police, Rajesh said that some of the gang members were from Madhubani and Champaran in Bihar. Police said that with the help of a cook, Rajesh and his partner entered the victim’s house. After the robbery, the accused persons fled in the victim’s Fortuner before abandoning it.

During questioning, “Sonu said he and Rajesh got a share of Rs 8 lakh from the loot, out of which Rs 4.70 lakh was recovered from them. A total of eight members — including six executors, one who placed a cook in the house, and one who provided SIM cards — executed the entire heist. The amount was divided amongst them as per their work,” Sain added.
