Neetu Singh or if we go by her 'married name' then Neetu Kapoor has had a beautiful relationship with her kids but we will share all those moments when she defended, doted and admired Ranbir Kapoor, her younger kid every time. On the occassion of her Birthday, we would like to highlight on times when she was like the lioness protecting her cub and there were moments when she expressed her appreciation whenever Ranbir did well with his work and more. Posting this pic on her Instagram, Neetu said: "Killing us with Cuteness !!!". Ranbir sure looks cute in this Mexican hat and so do the parents but her caption says it all doesn't it? Every mother loves her kids but with Ranbir, she is the best mom he could ever have is what we feel.
Ranbir sure has had a casanova image but like any mother, Neetu maintained that she has never interfered but she does have some expectations for her kid. In an interview with a media house, Neetu once said: "I have never ever bothered about his girlfriends. I used to get angry with a certain girlfriend when he was entering movies, as he would not sleep well. I knew from experience that an actor has to have good sleep to look fresh. But I have never told him who I like and who I don't like.
"His girls are his life. He has to spend his life with her. She should love him and keep the family together. Being in the film line, she needs to be strong and be there for him. I just want the right girl for my Ranbir and feel that satisfaction that she looks after him," she said.
In another interview, she also spoke about how she had to protect him from Rishi Kapoor's temper especially when he was in school.
"Every year, without fail, through school and college, I would be called to meet his teachers. The complaints were always the same: he does not concentrate. He would leave class on some pretext and not go back, then the teacher would find him playing with a cat! It was terrible. And I had to protect him too from his dad and his temper."
Posting this image, Neetu said: "Ultimate Happiness: when a Child makes his parents proud of his existence ❤️". Now isn't this something we all want our ma to admit at some point in life? I sure do and I am still trying no matter what my age is. A bit of appreciation is loved by all us kids and Ranbir I hope and I feel sure is thankful to the almighty for having a calm mom who loves him.
Talking about her own nature in comparison to Rishi Kapoor's Neetu once said in an interview to a publication: "I am basically calm by nature. I don't lose my cool easily, maybe once in two years. "
Speaking about how she dealt with Ranbir as a kid, Neetu said: "He would really try me and my patience.At times, I would lock him in his room. There was nothing else I could do. It often worked. Luckily my word held a lot of weight for him. My word was the last word, he would not cross it. If I said NO, he would not argue, he would just listen to me.
Posting this image, Neetu captioned: "That amazing feeling in your lows when there is Positivity, Happiness, Love and that Wink!" Clearly this image says a lot. Especially on how important Ranbir is to her that she sees the love and happiness of togetherness in this pic but her son will never go unnoticed.
Once Neetu shared with a media house that Ranbir has been her confidant since the time he was just 15!
She said: "I was very troubled in my married life. I think he must have been 15 or so, when Rishi and I went through a really bad patch. I have always felt that while my daughter should be innocent and learn to face life as it comes, my son should be street smart and know everything about life. So I would sit with Ranbir and talk to him.

"For hours, I would tell him all I felt was right and wrong with my marriage, try to explain it all to him. I think he was my best friend then, my only confidant. I would talk my heart out to him, as to no one else," she added.

This completely shows how much loves Ranbir and why we at times feel that he is a 'momma's boy'. There is always a reason to anyone's behaviour. Nothing happens just like that!
Neetu says that post this, Ranbir "changed then I think, suddenly became responsible, grown up. I felt he should know everything, for one, it would make him a good husband when the time came."
Sure she has had some controlling moments... It might not seem wrong to a mother but to an outsider it gets too much. Again, no judging here. It's just facts that we would like to bring to the table.
