Lord Hanuman, a Hindi god and a divine Vanara has a prominent role in Ramayana. Without him, the victory of good over evil couldn't have been possible. Lord Hanuman is known for his immense power, strength and devotion.
Lord Hanuman has always been an ideal for all of us, especially the youth. We can learn a lot from his great life journey. Here are a few life lessons for millennials that we can learn from Lord Hanuman and these will prove to be helpful in our growth.
Always Be Humble
The first and foremost thing that we should learn from Lord Hanuman is to be humble even if you achieve everything in life. Lord Hanuman had immense powers. He had everything including physical and mental power. He could control one's, mind and the ecosystem.
However, all this power didn't stop him from being humble. Even after being blessed by several Gods and having immense power, Lord Hanuman didn't stop respecting his Guru, Lord Ram. He didn't respect Lord Ram because he wanted anything in return, he just found him to be wiser.
Even after several powers, he always kept his feet on the ground (not literally because he could fly) and you should learn this quality from him to be successful in life.
Lead A Simple Life
Living a simple life doesn't mean living without a home or other necessities of life. Instead, living a simple life means being happy with whatever you have in life and eliminating the greed of wanting to be like others.
People buy bigger homes and cars on EMI to prove to the world their wealth and get immersed in crippling debt. Lord Hanuman teaches us to be satisfied with whatever we have and stop living our lives to show others that we are superior to them.
Always Perform Good Deeds Because What Goes Around Comes Around
Once, Lord Indra attacked young Hanuman with his thunderbolt when he was unconscious. Lord Hanuman was deeply hurt but he was not alone. All the gods and goddesses came in to help Lord Hanuman. This was a result of Hanuman's goodness and good deeds.
This proves that you should always perform good deeds without expecting anything in return. It will all eventually come back to you.
Leadership Skills
You might be surprised to read this but Lord Hanuman had great leadership and organisational skills and we can say this with proof. While the bridge was getting constructed on the sea to reach Lanka, Lord Hanuman was the one to lead this project and we all know that it was a great success.
He motivated the mischievous monkeys and managed to get them to work and build the bridge in minimal time. Along with this, he managed the whole army during the Ram-Ravana war. We should learn some leadership and organisational skills from Lord Hanuman.
Leaving Comfort Zone
Lord Hanuman was the son of a King. However, he left his kingdom along with all the comforts and started from the bottom. He became Sugriva’s secretary. Being in this role allowed him to perform several big tasks and eventually, he secured his place in the heart of Lord Rama.
We should leave our comfort zone for better opportunities and we will eventually grow in life.
