Screw Dheela: Karan Johar Announces Tiger Shroff-Starrer Action Film

Karan Johar announced the upcoming Hindi film starring Tiger Shroff titled ‘Screw Dheela’ along with a teaser.

Hindi filmmaker Karan Johar announced upcoming film ‘Screw Dheela’ starring Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in the lead. He also unveiled a three-minute teaser on social media on Monday.

“Arriving with a solid punch of entertainment, super excited to present Tiger Shroff in #ScrewDheela, directed by Shashank Khaitan in an all new world of action!!!” wrote Johar.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the upcoming film is an action-packed entertainment film. In the three-minute video dropped by Johar, Shroff is seen sitting on a chair in handcuffs and getting punched multiple times in the face. This happens as he tries to explain that they have mistakenly gotten the wrong person because he is merely a PT teacher. Eventually, as the footage of his girlfriend, whose face is not revealed, is shown getting punched as well. That is when he gets fierce and takes on multiple villains at a time with his action moves. At the end of the video, the goons ask him “Who are you?”

As per a Times of India report, the film will be shot mostly in India but the first schedule is expected to kick off in Europe. Actor Rashmika Mandanna will also be a part of the film along with Shroff.

Khaitan, whose directorial debut was the Alia Bhatt-Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and has helmed Hindi films like ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, 2020 Netflix anthology ‘Ajeeb Dastaans’ and 2018 romantic drama Dhadak, has promised a one of a kind action entertainer.

The upcoming Hindi film marks the first venture of Khaitan and Shroff. The actor made his debut with the 2014 romantic action drama film Heropanti. He went on to star in action drama franchise Baaghi, and other romantic action drama films A Flying Jatt, Munna Michael, Welcome to New York, Student of the Year 2, the Hrithik Roshan starrer War, and Heropanti 2.

Mandanna, the South Indian actor who came to the forefront with Telugu hits Pushpa: The Rise and Dear Comrade, is making her debut in the Hindi film industry with the Amitabh Bachchan starrer Goodbye. The first-look of the film was released on Sunday. She has another upcoming Hindi film titled Mission Majnu with Siddharth Malhotra.
