Navaratri is a Hindu celebration that takes place every year in the fall season and lasts nine nights and 10 days. It is observed and celebrated differently in different regions of the Hindu Indian cultural realm.
About Chaitra Navratri
Chaitra Navaratri is the second most popular Navaratri, called from the Sanskrit word for spring, vasanta. It takes place in the lunar month of Chaitra (March–April). In many areas, the festival occurs after spring harvest, while in others, it occurs during harvest. It is also the first day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar, which is also known as the Hindu Lunar New Year. People worship the nine manifestations of Goddess Durga during Chaitra Navratri. Kalash Sthapana
Chaitra Navratri generally begins in March or April. People choose to do Kalash Sthapana puja in their homes and workplaces. A Kalash is kept at the site of devotion, and people even hire a priest to perform the rites of Kalash puja. On the first day of Navratri, there is an ideal technique to install a Kalash.
The first thing you should do when you get up in the morning is take a shower. After washing the idols, the first thing you need to do is clean the area where the Kalash will be placed. The next step is to lay a red cloth on a wooden bench and chant mantras while placing uncooked rice on the red cloth. Make an altar out of some topsoil and plant the Barley seeds in it and then place the Kalash on the soil and add water. Make a swastika symbol with the vermillion paste and tie a sacred thread around the Kalash's neck.
Keep some mango leaves in the Kalash and add betelnut and coins. Take a coconut and wrap it in a sacred thread and a crimson Chunari. Place this coconut on top of Kalash and pray to the all-powerful God. Flowers should be offered to the deities, as well as reverence from religious mind and spirit.
