The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is gearing up for another exciting season. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially confirmed the schedule for the 18th edition of the tournament.

As per the BCCI report, the season will kick off on March 23, 2025, and will run until May 25, 2025. With the auction already completed in Jeddah on November 24-25, 2024, all 10 IPL franchises have finalised their squads, setting the stage for a thrilling competition.

IPL 2025 Key Dates and Venues

  • Start Date: March 22, 2025
  • Final Date: May 26, 2025

Playoff Venues:

  • First two Qualifiers: Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad
  • Second Playoff & Final: Eden Gardens, Kolkata

The opening match will take place at the iconic Chennai Super Kings' home ground, where they will face off against Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 22, 2025. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders, the reigning champions from IPL 2024, will aim to defend their title in the new season.

The IPL 2025 season will once again feature a round-robin format, with each team playing against others at various venues across the country. As per the BCCI report, the league's structure remains unchanged, with each team aiming to secure a place in the playoffs and ultimately fight for the coveted trophy.
