iPhone 17e: India Launch Date, Expected Price, And Full Specifications Revealed

The latest leaks about Apple’s upcoming affordable flagship, the iPhone 17e, hint at a device that is meant to bridge the gap between budget segment handsets and premium flagships. The iPhone 17e, being the 2026 version of the iPhone 16e, is rumoured to offer a plethora of upgrades internally while remaining similar externally. Here is a detailed presentation of the iPhone 17e as depicted in the latest leaks and reports from the industry.

iPhone 17e India Launch Date

Apple has reportedly planned a February 2026 release for the iPhone 17e. According to media reports, Apple is planning to release the phone on February 19, 2026.

iPhone 17e Performance and Core Specifications

The ‘e’ lineup of devices is said to be getting its biggest-ever internal revamp. Apple is claimed to be introducing ‘Silicon-first’ upgrades to its low-end devices to extend their lifespan.

• Chipset: The 17e is said to arrive with the A19 Bionic chip, just like the regular iPhone 17. This would give it a whopping 40% boost in CPU performance over the predecessor.

• Modem & Connectivity: It is said to feature Apple’s first in-house C1X 5G modem, featuring twice the networking speed and improved power efficiency. The device could also feature the N1 wireless chip for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.

• RAM & Storage: Since the phone will require ‘Apple Intelligence’ (AI) features, it will require at least 8GB of RAM. The base variant is said to retain a storage of 128GB, with a 256GB variant also being available.

• Charging: The huge ‘quality of life’ improvement here is to add Mag Safe, supporting up to 25W (compared to 7.5W with Qi Charging found on the 16e).

iPhone 17e Camera Details

While the looks may not be very different on the outside, the optics are getting a facelift to handle the growing requirements of social content creators and video-first communication.

• Rear Camera: It will be very much expected to retain only a single 48MP Main Camera. Although there isn't a secondary ultra-wide or telephoto lens, the high-resolution sensor will support 2x ‘Optical Quality’ crop zoom and 4K Dolby Vision recording.

• Selfie Camera: Well, going by major leaks from analyst Jeff Pu, the front camera is supposed to increase from 12MP to an 18MP sensor. This module might include improved stabilisation and wider framing, only borrowed from the flagship series of the iPhone 17.

iPhone 17e Expected Price Range in India

Apple’s plan for the year 2026 seems to be to give customers more features for the same cost. Apple is said to be maintaining a low production cost with the use of custom modems and wireless chips designed by Apple itself.

• Global Starting Price: $599 (approximately Rs. 50,000 before taxes)

• Expected India Launch Price: ₹59,900 for the 128GB base model.
