To build a self-reliant India, PM Modi-led administration has introduced a slew of schemes for the youth. All these programmes have positively impacted the youth on different fronts. PM Modi announced an internship programme back in 2015 that turned out to be immensely successful.
For the unversed, here is an explainer of the government of India's internship programme. The objective of this scheme was to further boost the idea of “SABKA SATH, SABKA VIKAAS, SABKA VISHWAAS, SABKA PRAYAAS”.
The scheme is basically for female students, scholars, social activists and teachers from non-tier-I cities and rural areas. All those falling under this category should be enrolled in or associated with a university, academic or non-academic institute.

The scheme aims to direct students, social activists, and scholars among others. With this programme, interns are required to take up pilot projects and micro-studies on different ongoing activities of the ministry. The programme gives exposure to interns and helps them raise issues concerning women and children in the country on different platforms. The internship provides the interns with a common platform for meaningful interactions, and research space related to other government schemes and initiatives. The programme also bridges the information gaps around issues related to women and children in the country from non-tier parts.
