Indian Idol is one of the most popular singing reality shows on television. It was a super successful season last time and ever since its grand finale, we have been waiting for the announcement of Indian Idol 12. All those who were waiting for the next season of the show just like us, good news! The very first promo of the show is out. Just like Kaun Banega Crorepati, the makers of Indian Idol 12 have decided to take the digital route amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
Online Auditions
The channel has shared a new promo of the show where host Aditya Narayan can be seen inviting all the aspiring singers for online auditions. In the video, Aditya says the situation has changed now, contestants would no longer have to stand in long queues for auditions and they will be able to achieve their dreams in an easy way.
Talking about the auditions, host Aditya Narayan said, "I would like to invite all the aspiring singing talent to participate in 'Indian idol 12' by recording their video and uploading it on Sony LIV app from July 25. This time, give 'Indian Idol' audition sitting at your home just by a click."
Auditions for the show will begin on July 25th. As the auditions are online, contestants will be able to give it from their homes. Host Aditya Narayan shared that those interested can upload their singing videos on the Sony LIV app. If selected, the contestant will be invited for the second round of auditions. For the final rounds, they will be called to Mumbai for the main auditions.

This new promo released by the channel is getting all the love. Aditya Narayan talked about recording the promo in a recent interview. He said, "Recording the promo was really fantastic. I felt so privileged that I would be singing for India’s most reputed singing reality show. I’m loving the reaction of the audience regarding the promo.
Indian Idol 12 Judges
Just like last season, this year too, Neha Kakkar, Vishal Dadlani, and Himesh Reshammiya will be judging the show. Once again, it would be a treat for both Neha Kakkar and Aditya Narayan fans. All those who don't know, let us tell you that last season, they made headlines for their alleged wedding on the show.
Aditya Narayan's constant flirting with judge Neha Kakkar, parents of the two coming on the show, and exchanging Shagun, it all looked so real but actually it was just another publicity gimmick which none of us realised.
Aditya Narayan's father, Udit Narayan in an interview hinted at it all being a stunt. He said, “I suspect this link-up and marriage rumours with Neha are just to boost the TRPs of Indian Idol where she’s a judge and my son is the anchor. I wish the marriage rumours were true. Neha is a wonderful girl. We’d love to have her as our bahu (daughter-in-law).”

Later, judge Neha Kakkar also cleared the air in an interview. She said, “Aditya is a very beautiful person. He has a heart of gold, and I am really happy to share that my dear friend is getting married this year with his long-time girlfriend. I wish him all the happiness and many years of togetherness.”
Indian Idol is one of the most-watched Indian singing reality shows. For the last 11 years, the judges of the show traveled across the country to find singing talent. This year, it will be all easier for both the show makers and aspiring singers as everything will happen online due to the global pandemic.
