Independence Day 2024 History
After the Battle of Plassey in 1757, the British established their rule in certain parts of the country and thus began the era of British rule. However, it was not until 1858 that the British had fully taken charge of the administration of the subcontinent. Their selfish amendments regarding farming, manufacturing, and education gave Indians a hard time; they were no longer free to even move as per their will in their own country. Indians were made to go through racism in public places and handicrafts were replaced with cheap factory-made products.
After years of revolt, struggles, and riots, Indians finally gained independence under notable leaders and freedom fighters including Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Laxmi Bai, Rabindranath Tagore, Sarojini Naidu, Annie Besant, and many more.
