Over time, ear wax, sweat, and oils keep accumulating on our AirPods and not cleaning them regularly can lead to hygiene issues and even damage your AirPods in the long run. If you haven't given your earbuds a deep clean for the longest time, here is a quick guide.

How To Clean Your Airpods?

You Will Need:

• Soft, microfibre cloth
• Cotton pads or Q-tips 
• Distilled Water 
• Small brush 
• Toothpick
• Cleaning spray/Isopropyl alcohol spray

Directions:

• Begin with gently wiping the outer surface of the ear buds, and the charging case with a soft cloth. Remove any dirt and oils. 
• If you see dust accumulated in the joints, use a damp cotton pad to clean the edges. Make sure the moisture doesn't get into the openings. 
• Next, using a soft brush, gently clean the speaker and microphone ports. Spritz some cleaning spray on a cotton pad and use it to remove any dirt stuck around the speaker. Make sure you don't apply a lot of pressure around this area or the liquid might enter the openings.

• Do check the charging port too. The charging port usually gets accumulated with debris and this can be removed using a toothpick. Again, remember to be gentle so that you don't damage the port.
• Now, it's time to clean the earbuds. If they have silicone tips, remove them and clean them with a damp cloth. Let them air dry before attaching them again.
• For the AirPods or earbuds, use a soft, clean toothbrush and gently scrub. Wipe with a soft cloth.
• To disinfect your earbuds, spray some disinfectant or alcohol spray on a soft cloth and wipe down the buds and case.
