Stock Market Holiday on Good Friday 2025
In addition to bank closures, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will also remain closed on April 18, 2025, in observance of Good Friday. Trading in equities, derivatives, and Securities Lending and Borrowing (SLB) segments will be suspended for the day.

- April 20 (Sunday): Easter Sunday – Banks will remain closed as per the regular weekly holiday schedule.
- April 21 (Monday): Garia Puja – Banks in Tripura will be closed in observance of this traditional tribal festival.
- April 26 (Saturday): Fourth Saturday – A regular holiday observed by public and private sector banks across India.
- April 27 (Sunday): Weekly Bank Holiday – As usual, banks nationwide will remain closed.
Additionally, on April 29 (Tuesday), banks in Himachal Pradesh will remain closed in observance of Bhagwan Shri Parshuram Jayanti, celebrating the birth of Lord Parshuram, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
