October is a joyful and happy month, filled with celebrations. People will get to enjoy this month to the fullest because it begins with Gandhi Jayanti, followed by Durga Ashtami and Maha Navami, and then people immerse the Durga idol on the day of Visarjan. In many parts of India, Dussehra, when (as per legends) Lord Ram kills Ravana and triumphs over evil, is celebrated too.
