Actor Shehnaaz Gill was awarded the Rising Star of Bollywood award in the Filmfare Middle East Achievers Night 2022, held in Dubai on Saturday. She received the award by giving credit to her own hard work and dedicated it to her rumoured boyfriend and late actor Sidharth Shukla.
After receiving the award, she said, "Main apne family, apne friends aur meri team ko bilkul bhi nahi dedicate karungi kyuki yeh meri mehnat hai (I'll not dedicate this to my family, friends or team because this is my hard work). She continued, "Aur tu mera hai aur mera hi rahega, theek hai? (You are mine and you will always be mine. Okay)," while she looked at her award.
"Ek cheeze aur. Main ek bande ko thank you bolna chahti hun. Thank you mere life mein aane k liye. Itna mere pe invest karliya ki aaj main yaha pe pahuchi hun. Sidharth Shukla this is for you.
(One more thing. I want to say thank you to a certain person. Thank you for coming to my life. You have invested so much in me that today I've reached here. Sidharth Shukla this is for you)," Gill said as she raised her trophy.

Popular actor and Bigg Boss 13 winner Sidharth Shukla passed away on September 2, 2021, due to a fatal cardiac arrest.
Shehnaaz Gill attended the award show in a black strapless gown featuring a plunging neck. It features a figure-hugging silhouette and a floor-sweeping train on the back. She completed the look with a choker necklace, statement earrings, rings and side-parted open wavy hair.
On the work front, Gill will be next seen in Salman Khanβs film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
