Alia has come a long way with amazing work in most of her films, surprising us all with her talent. It doesn't matter that she has a mentor like Karan Johar because she has talent to make it big on her own as well. Like an actor told me in an interview that if you do not have talent you cannot last no matter who you are or who backs you and that is true. If she did not have it in her, would she have made it so big?!
This year at the Filmfare Awards night, she won the best actress, the Meghna Gulzar directorial "Raazi" outshined even the most hyped film "Sanju" and we at HerZindagi are elated!
No, we did not miss the love that was shared onstage between Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor and we will talk about that in a bit. Let's take a moment to take a bow for Alia.
While Alia bagged her Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) award. Alia's career graph has been commendable! The daughter of veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan, played her first lead role in "Student of the Year" and then went onto do films like "2 States", "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania", "Badrinath Ki Dulhania", "Kapoor & Sons", "Dear Zindagi", "Highway", "Udta Punjab" and "Gully Boy". All have been a hit and every time her work has been praised, proving her mettle.

On Saturday night at the Filmfare Awards, she received her award and said on the stage: "Meghna (Gulzar), for me, 'Raazi' is you, your blood and sweat. You are my main chick. Vicky (Kaushal), without you, the film wouldn’t be complete. Thank you, my mentor, Karan (Johar) for being my mentor, father and my fashion police. Tonight is all about love; there, my special one, I love you (pointing at Ranbir Kapoor)."
The couple has been dating since they were on the sets of their next film 'Brahmastra'. They were seated next to each other at the event and oh yes, Alia confessed to her love for Ranbir by calling him "special one" on stage.
On the other hand, when Ranbir was announced as the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) category for "Sanju", he first kissed Alia, who was sitting right next to him. Deepika Padukone was seated next to the couple, and Ranbir huggedher next. He even went on to feign a full-blown kiss to his 'Sanju' co-star Vicky Kaushal, and gave on Preity Zinta's cheek, who was the presenter for the award.
