Actor Anushka Sharma and her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli’s angry social media posts slamming the sports brand Puma in the last 24 hours for using the former’s pictures left fans confused. However, in response to it, the brand announced their latest collaboration with Sharma.
“Hey @anushkasharma, we should’ve reached out sooner! Should we take things to the next level, then? 👀” wrote Puma on social media while sharing a blurred document with “PUMA X ANUSHKA” written and “CONFIDENTIAL” stamped.

The entire thing began when Puma shared three pictures of the actor on its social media handle on December 19. In the first picture, she is wearing a yellow sports bra from Puma along with black yoga pants, ripped denim jeans and a printed oversized denim jacket in the second, and a printed multicolored gym co-ord set in the third. While the first two pictures seem to be clicked at her home, the third is shot outdoors.

Following this, Sharma shared the picture on her Instagram story and wrote, “Hey @pumaindia? I’m sure you know that you have to take permission before you can use my imagery for publicity since I’m not your ambassador. Please take it down!” along with two angry emojis. The same was shared by Kohli where he asked the brand to “sort it out”.
However, fans began speculating if it was all being done for a promotion for a new collaboration. Afterall Kohli is already associated with the brand, and he had also liked the social media post made by Puma.
A few hours ago today, the brand also shared a video of the actor where she is seen talking to herself as she is getting her makeup done. “Wait, will I have to wear a sports bra all day? It’s like being stuck at the same job as Virat. Ab bolenge ‘har jagah logo dikhna chaiye’ (now they will say, ‘the logo should be visible everywhere’). Very self obsessed. Uhhhh, these guys are gonna force me to be friends with that creepy cat now? Literally found that thing in our bathroom one day. Using my soap. Cats don’t even have a bath. Why didn’t they anime it Cheetah? That’s the fastest right? My clothes are gonna have cat hair all day. They own our family now.”
