It has been more than a month that we are locked inside our houses, following the rules, trying to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country. What's happening 1around the world is heartbreaking, a rising number of Covid-19 cases, an increase in the number of deaths all around the world. However, this too shall pass!
We all know that life post this lockdown won't be the same. After the lockdown gets lifted, we all need to be extra careful about our health and take all the required measures to keep any health issue at bay.
For our safety, rules would change too. We all have been missing our metro travel and let us tell you that travelling by metro won't be the same now. Remember how casually we all used to travel by metro everyday to office? It will all get different now.
According to a report, the CISF, Central Industry Security Force has recommended a phased opening of Delhi Metro but with preventive measures.
Frisking
Before frisking, passengers will have to take out any metallic items on their body, be it belts or buckles. These metallic items will be kept in their bags for scanning through the X-ray machine. Those who won't be carrying any bags will be given trays to keep their belongings.
Aarogya Setu App
Passengers should have the Aarogya Setu app on their phone. The app will help the security to know if the passenger is at the risk of spreading coronavirus. If found so, the passenger won't be allowed to use metro for travel. The plan proposed reads, "Aarogya Setu app with inbuilt e-pass feature could be employed for identification of suspected persons (having COVID-19 infection). Persons with high risks for both spreading as well as contracting infections should be discouraged from using metro."
No Entry Without A Mask
Any passenger entering the metro premises should be wearing a mask at all times. Also, hand washing or sanitisation facility will be available at all entry points.

The proposal given by CISF said, "Thermal screening of all entrants to be conducted at the entry point of stations and those found with abnormal temperatures will not be allowed to enter and persons with cold, cough and other flu-like symptoms will be denied entry."
Distancing Before Screening Point
As the passengers queue up before the screening point, the security will make sure that they maintain distancing. The proposal said, "Strict distancing norms will be followed throughout the station area and proper queuing area before the security screening point will be maintained."
There will also be a distance between the screening point and the queue of the passengers.
According to this plan proposed, around 12,000 men and women security personnel would be deployed to guard around 160 metro stations.
