Delhi Metro Announces Changes In Timings On International Yoga Day 2025; Check New Schedule Here

The 11th International Yoga Day 2025 will be celebrated on June 21, 2025. To provide easy access to public transport to yoga enthusiasts, the Delhi metro will be operating earlier than usual on Saturday. As per reports, the metro will begin at 4 am instead of the usual 6 am time on the occasion. Another big update is that the time gap between two metro trains will be more, hence, people are advised to leave their homes keeping this in mind.

Delhi Metro To Operate From 4 AM On International Yoga Day 2025

Taking to X, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said in a post, "Delhi Metro services will commence from 4 am from all originating stations on 21st June 2025 (Saturday) to facilitate the movement of yoga enthusiasts on the occasion of International Day of Yoga, 2025."

"Services will be available on all lines at an interval of 30 minutes from 4 am onwards till the commencement of passenger services as per daily timetable", it added.

Government Organises Yoga Day Events

Delhi Chief Minister, on Wednesday, said that the government will organise massive yoga day events at 11 locations across the city on June 21. She also revealed that she would be participating in one of the events and will practice yoga on the banks of Yamuna to celebrate the occasion. "Tomorrow I will practice Yoga on the banks of Yamuna... Tomorrow will be celebrated like a festival in many places in Delhi... The Delhi government will celebrate this International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm,” she said.

She announced this while addressing an event at a Yoga, Meditation, and Medical Camp in Delhi's Shalimar Bagh ahead of International Yoga Day. "PM Modi got Yoga recognised on the world stage in such a way that every country in the world is adopting Yoga with great affection today... India will be able to prosper only if it remains healthy,” she added while emphasising the importance of yoga in daily life for a healthy lifestyle.

PM Modi To Participate In A Yoga Day Event

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reportedly all set to participate in a yoga event organised by Andhra Pradesh on Saturday, at the RK beach in the port city of Visakhapatnam. Scheduled from 6:30 am to 8:00 am, the event is organised in such a way as to get recognition and set records, including a Guinness World Record, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
