With her spectacular performance in movies like Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has evolved a lot and marked a special place in our hearts. The actress recently spoke to Harper Bazaar, India and spilled some beans about her personal and professional life.

Opening up about how she has evolved as a person in an Interview with Harper Bazaar India, Deepika revealed that she has become more expressive now. "I am extremely intuitive, vulnerable and sensitive. For years, I kept all of it within me but now I express things more. I’ve always been an old soul”, Deepika said.
However, she thinks that there are a few things that are still not changed about her. “I’ve always been an old soul. In today’s context I could be considered a weird person. When I was on my bachelorette, I did laundry twice a day, so I suppose I am weird”, she said.
On being asked about, how things have changed after the wedding, Deepika shared, “A lot of what I’m able to achieve is because of him [Ranveer Singh] – in terms of how comfortable he is with my success, or how supportive he is. We’re a good team. Over seven years, before we got married, we’ve been through a lot. He’s seen my career on the upside-down and seen me at my lowest phase when I was going through depression, and he’s been there for me. We’re still so excited by each other, so inspired by each other. He’s my best friend."

One the professional front, Deepika Padukone will be seen sharing screen space with hubby, Ranveer Singh in Kabir Khan's 83.Ranveer is playing the lead role of Kapil Dev and she will be essaying the role of Kapil Dev's wife, Romi Dev.

In an interview with a leading media house, Deepika opened on why she chose to portray Romi Bhatia's character on the big screen. "I play the role of Romi Dev, wife of Kapil Dev in the movie and she was instrumental in Kapil Dev’s success, especially when he was the captain. She was part of the support system and I feel connected to that. I always feel that in an athlete’s life the wife and family sacrifice a lot of their own dreams to support the vision of the athlete, the goals that they set and they end up sacrificing their own career. I have seen it in my own family. My mother had been supportive to my father in his career. I think to see the human side, to see what an important role family play in success of athlete I took up this role," she said.

Apart from 83, Deepika will also be seen in Chappaak. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the film is based on the life of an acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal.
