Apartment living these days features small spaces and thus the need for dividers has increased. Dividers ensure separate sections in our house. These days toughened glasses are used as dividers. In contemporary Indian interior design, incorporating glass into home decor can give the illusion of a larger, airier home. Not only is it durable and versatile, but it also offers a wide array of choices for dividing spaces in modern homes and offices. In light of the same, we spoke to Alisagar Rampurawala, Director of Sapphire Tuff. He shared five creative ways in which you can use toughened glass.
Frosted Glass Panels
Frosted glass panels can divide the rooms and ensure privacy without compromising on the lighting being used, whether natural or artificial. For a sleek and sophisticated look, install these partitions without a frame – they are perfect to separate the living area from the bedroom area in a studio apartment, or can even be the perfect way to separate cubicles in an office for privacy.
Sliding Glass Partitions
For areas that require a little more flexibility, sliding glass doors are the perfect way to create partitions that can be added or removed as per necessity. The partitions can sit perfectly on tracks, making them very easy to move and configure the layout of the room according to current needs.
Patterned Glass Screens
Similar to frosted panels, patterned glass also has the same effect of light diffusion, however in a much more structured way. The glass can have a special pattern that is curated to each personality, of both the home and the person. From geometric patterns to nature prints, the possibilities are endless. Patterned glass lends a unique aspect to any living space, and makes it feel more personalised.
Glass Block Walls
Using glass instead of brick or concrete makes a house (bhutanese home decor ideas) more unique and interesting to look at. It is a more modern twist on traditional materials, and glass blocks with matte or satin finishes are very uncommon and can be beautiful when used right.
