CMF Buds 2 and Buds 2 Plus Features

The CMF Buds 2 and Buds 2 Plus share several advanced features while differentiating themselves through driver technology. The Buds 2 incorporates an 11 mm PMI driver with Dirac Opteo sound optimisation, delivering clear and balanced audio. Meanwhile, the Buds 2 Plus steps up with a 12 mm LCP driver supporting Hi-Res LDAC codec for audiophile-grade sound reproduction.

Both models excel in noise cancellation capabilities. The Buds 2 offers 48 dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, while the Buds 2 Plus provides even stronger 50 dB Hybrid ANC with Smart Adaptive Mode that adjusts to your surroundings.

Additional shared technology includes Noise Reduction 3.0, Ultra Bass Technology 2.0 for enhanced low frequencies, and six high-definition microphones with Clear Voice Technology 3.0. Both models also feature Wind Noise Reduction 3.0, ensuring clear calls even in challenging outdoor conditions.

Battery life receives significant attention in the new CMF lineup. Each earbud in both the Buds 2 and Buds 2 Plus contains a 53mAh battery, while their cases house a substantial 460mAh battery. Despite similar battery capacity, runtime varies between models.

The Buds 2 deliver up to 13.5 hours of playback per charge with ANC turned off, extending to a total of 55 hours with the charging case. The Buds 2 Plus pushes these limits further, offering 14 hours of continuous playback without ANC and an impressive 61.5 hours total with the case.

Both models also feature an IP55 rating, providing robust protection against dust and water splashes, making them suitable for workouts and outdoor use.

CMF Buds 2a Features

The CMF Buds 2a serves as the entry-level option in the new lineup without sacrificing essential features. These earbuds utilise a 2.4 mm Bio-fibre driver with Dirac Tuning and provide 42 dB Active Noise Cancellation with Transparency Mode.

The Buds 2a also incorporates Ultra Bass Technology 2.0 for enhanced low-frequency response and features four high-definition microphones with Clear Voice Technology. Gamers will appreciate the low latency mode of 110ms, reducing audio delay during gameplay.

Battery performance remains impressive despite the lower price point. The Buds 2a offers up to 8 hours of playback with ANC disabled and extends to 35.5 hours total with the charging case.
