Barun Sobti, the Prince Charming of Indian television and soon-to-be-father had a love life, which is no less than a fairy-tale. Barun, who left women mesmerised with his sharp features and stunning personality in the daily soap 'Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon', left many-a-heart-broken when he got married to his girlfriend Pashmeen Manchanda.
Barun Sobti truly defines the term 'true love' for his wife. Despite the glitz and glamour of the television world and numerous fan following, his love for Pashmeen never diminished.
How Barun And Pashmeen's Love Story Started?
Barun's and Pashmeen's romance started when they were in their schools. Pashmeen used to study in an all-girls school before being enrolled in a co-ed institution where Barun was already studying. They were in their 9th grade when they first met.
Pashmeen was among the most desirable girls in the school and Barun used to find excuses to talk to her back then. Not just this, Barun is actually romantic and there is no denial to the fact. He used to pen poems to win Pashmeen’s heart as well. Isn't that adorable?
Barun’s efforts to win Pashmeen's heart didn't go waste, they soon became good friends and occasionally went on dates. They also used to go out for drive, have lunch together and coffee dates.
During school, they saw each other as good buddies but when Pashmeen flew off to Australia for her graduation, they realised that they are in love and their friendship needs to move a notch up and get a new name. Both Barun and Pashmeen acted mature and decided to let the feeling to blossom despite the long distance. They left the flame of romance burning for the next five years with both living in different continents. They have, in fact, proved that distance doesn't matter when feelings, trust and commitments are true and strong.
Both Barun And Pashmeen Met On And Off
The love birds, however, continued to meet at intervals. In one of his visit to Australia, Barun and Pashmeen decided to dine out. Both ordered food for themselves but when the food reached their table, Barun didn't like what he had ordered for himself. Pashmeen noticed the reaction on Barun's face and then the cutest thing happened, she exchanged her plate with his. Barun was touched by the loving gesture and made up his mind to propose Pashmeen for marriage without any further delay.
Barun Proposed Pashmeen
Without thinking and mulling, Barun proposed Pashmeen and the obvious happened, without any delay Pashmeen responded with a 'yes'.
The couple tied the knot on December 12, 2010 with only close friends and family in attendance. The wedding was held in a Gurudwara as per the Punjabi rituals.
After 8 years of marriage, the couple is expecting their first child next month.
The couple, like many others, has seen lots of ups and downs and its only understanding that leads to a successful relationship. Barun and Pashmeen’s love story is the perfect example of lasting childhood romance.
In an interaction with a media house, Barun said that the best part of marriage according to him is that he got his partner forever and no longer will he have to miss her company as he used to during their courtship period.
