Ameesha Patel Responds To Dating Rumours With Pakistani Actor Imran Abbas

Tabloids have been in overdrive mode speculating that Indian actor Ameesha Patel and Pakistani actor Imran Abbas have been dating ever since Ameesha Patel released a video of them together.

However, in an interview with a news portal, Patel rubbished reports of her dating Abbas. The actress said that she read the reports that were doing the rounds and had a hearty laugh. According to her, the whole thing is just crazy and full of silliness. She revealed that she was meeting her buddy after many years so they were just catching up.

The Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001) actor said, “We've known each other since the time I studied with him at a university in the US (From Selling Flowers To Getting Admission In The Top US University, Read The Incredible Story Of Sarita Mali). Most of my friends in Pakistan, who adore India, and I have remained in contact. Abbas belongs to the film industry there, and we have a lot more to talk about.”

"The video just happened to come together after we agreed to catch up later after we met at the event. He actually likes that song of mine. It’s his favourite song… We just did an impromptu thing, which was recorded by a friend. It came out so cute, so we posted it. It was not planned,” she ends, stressing that people shouldn’t try to read too much into it.

Patel met Abbas in Bahrain, at a recent event, and they recorded a fun video lip syncing to the song Dil Mein Dard Sa Jaga Hai from the 2002 movie Kranti, featuring Patel and actor Bobby Deol. She later posted the video on her Instagram, which led to the rumours.
