Alia Bhatt Speaks On How She Would Feel If Her Daughter Wants To Pursue Acting

Actor Alia Bhatt has revealed how she would react if her daughter wanted to take up acting in future. The actor said why should she have any expectations and then be ‘disappointed’ later and also about raising a child in the ‘public eye’.

In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Bhatt said that during pregnancy days, "I am a little concerned about bringing up a child in the public eye. I talk about it with my friends, with my family, and my husband a lot. I don’t want there to be a, sort of, intrusion into my child’s life. Because at the end of the day, I have chosen this path, but maybe my child may not want to choose this path when he or she grows up...so that’s something that I feel very protective about."

Further, Bhatt spoke about her daughter wanting to pursue a career in acting. "I don’t think that’s something that I can really prepare and plan for. I don’t want to have any fixed ideas of how I want that to be. Because why should I have any expectations and then be met with any disappointment or elation or anything of that sort? So they need the slate blank, a bit," she said.

Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married on April 14 this year in a not-so-lavish regular Bollywood wedding but in their Kapoor house after dating for five years. The couple announced in June that they will soon become parents.

On November 6, the couple welcomed their baby girl. "And in the best news of our lives:- Our baby is here...and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - Blessed and obsessed parents!!!! Love love love Alia and Ranbir,” wrote Bhatt on social media.

On the work front, Bhatt is set to make her Hollywood debut with Heart Of Stone, co-starring Gal Gadot. Bhatt had a busy 2022 with four releases this year including RRR, Gangubai Kathiawadi and Brahmastra, and Darlings- all of which performed well both at box office and with critics.
