Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor Name Their Daughter 'Raha'

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, the new parents, revealed their daughter’s name through social media today. The baby girl, born on November 6, 2022, has been named Raha.

Bhatt revealed the name of their daughter through a social media post. Sharing a picture of the couple with their daughter, Bhatt revealed her name through the caption. “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings… Raha, in its purest form means divine path in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla - rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it ALL! ❤️ Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun. ☀️☀️☀️ (sic)” wrote Bhatt.

In a recent interview with Marie Claire, Bhatt said that during pregnancy days, "I am a little concerned about bringing up a child in the public eye. I talk about it with my friends, with my family, and my husband a lot. I don’t want there to be a, sort of, intrusion into my child’s life. Because at the end of the day, I have chosen this path, but maybe my child may not want to choose this path when he or she grows up...so that’s something that I feel very protective about."

Alia Bhatt gave birth to a baby girl on November 6, 2022 at the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, Mumbai. Bhatt shared the news of her daughter’s birth through an Instagram post.

She wrote, "And in the best news of our lives :- Our baby is here... and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love- blessed and obsessed PARENTS!!!!! love love love Alia and Ranbir."

Pregnancy Announcement

Alia Bhatt announced her pregnancy on June 27 with an adorable post. She shared a picture of herself with her husband Ranbir Kapoor looking at what seems to be an ultrasound sound screen. In the second picture, two lions and a cub could be seen. She captioned the post, "Our baby ….. coming soon ♾❤️✨."
