Actor Alok Nath has been accused of sexual misconduct, called a rapist by women working in the Bollywood film and Television fraternity and it was no joke. The #MeToo movement in India opened some doors which hid dark secrets but we are all well aware that some are yet to open. Well that is a long shot as we know those individuals are too big and no one will speak up against them looking at the way Bollywood operates, but the ones already under the radar, with exposed masks should have been shunned and action should have been taken against them. If Hollywood can why can't Bollywood? Are these stars, we Indians so admire and worship after cricket, Chickens? Spineless? Sheep? What?
The so-called "babuji" was accused by many including filmmaker-writer Vinta Nanda and Sandhya Mridul of sexual misconduct and therefore he was shunned by many in the industry including Aamir Khan's production house. However, this time, actor Ajay Devgn has been slammed for working with Nath's return project "De De Pyaar De", something... no one expected!
The makers of Ajay Devgn's upcoming movie 'De De Pyaar De' have launched the trailer of the film. But, soon after the release of the trailer, social media went abuzz with Twitteratislamming Devgn and the makers of the film for working with Nath, who is accused by the producer-writer Vinta Nanda of sexual misconduct.
Shame on @ajaydevgn for defending Alok Nath. They could have given him the boot post the allegations & FIR. I hate when celebs say "this is not the right platform to discuss". Issues such as this deserved to be discussed on every platform. #DeDePyaarDeTrailer @IndiaMeToo https://t.co/fA5DGDOczq

I don’t care if Alok Nath was the main character in the movie. Makers should have re-casted. Ajay Devgan has a daughter & wife.....working with a rapist.

@IndiaMeToo I'm not gonna watch #DeDePyaarDe until Alok Nath gets kicked from the movie...not even on tv.

If @ajaydevgn is a responsible actor, he should be the one to do it. Sadly this industry does only show off abt respecting women. Fake people !!
Ajay was also quizzed for working with the "sanskaari" actor to which he replied saying: "The film's shoot was completed way before the allegations surfaced against the person."
Ajay also told media during the launch that "This is not the right place to talk about it". Several Twitter users were not convinced with Ajay Devgn's reply and said that the team "could have given him the boot post the allegations." When news agency IANS reached out to Alok Nath, he said: "I don't want to talk anything about De De Pyaar De."
Actor Nana Patekar and director Sajid Khan were also shown the door after #MeToo stories surfaced against them. Actress Tanushree Dutta reopened a decade-old controversy by bringing her allegations of sexual harassment against actor Nana Patekar to the forefront while several female artistes and journalists outed Sajid Khan as a sexual predator.
