When she turns to crime news reporting from Page 3, she is fired for an exposé story on an industrialist.

Konkona starred as an aspiring writer in Ayan Mukerji’s directorial debut Wake Up Sid that saw Ranbir Kapoor playing the titular character. The pairing of Konkona with Ranbir was pretty interesting and showed Konkona as Aisha Banerjee, a pivotal character who makes Ranbir’s character Sid turn into a responsible guy. Konkona really pushed the envelope with her portrayal of a witch named Diana in Ek Thi Daayan, a film directed by Kannan Iyer.
