  • While there are various ways to make tomato soup, you can try this quick recipe prepared with just five ingredients, inspired by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor.
  • First, you have to sauté the chopped onions and garlic in butter until soft and golden brown and then add spices as per your taste.
  • Then, add the mashed or crushed potatoes and sauté for a little while. You can also use tomato puree made with boiled tomatoes.

  • Once the tomatoes are cooked, add the vegetable broth or just plain water, as per your convenience and choice, and mix everything together.
  • Let it cook on simmer for about half an hour, uncovered preferably.

Ingredients

  • Crushed or mashed tomatoes
  • vegetable broth or just plain water
  • chopped onion and garlic
  • butter and spices as per taste

  • Step 1 :

    Sauté chopped garlic and onions together and add spices.

    Add tomato puree and let it cook for 3-4 minutes.
