What Are Coconut Chocolate Bars?
Made with delicious ingredients like coconut and dark chocolate, these bars are a healthy alternative to chocolate bars to curb your sweet cravings. Coconut, the star ingredient of this recipe, is low in carbs and high in healthy fats and fibre. It is also rich in manganese, which is essential for bone health and the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and cholesterol.
On the other hand, dark chocolate is rich in several minerals like iron, magnesium, and zinc. It also has various health benefits, such as reducing inflammation, improving blood flow, and more.
How To Make Low-Carb Coconut Chocolate Bars?
Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide on how to make 3-ingredient low-carb coconut chocolate bars:
- Step 1: Start by pouring desiccated coconut powder into a bowl. If you don’t have desiccated coconut then you can always crush it from a fresh coconut at home.
- Step 2: Pour condensed milk into the coconut and pour thoroughly. Make sure you stir the mixture properly till it gets a mouldable consistency.
- Step 3: Now, mould the coconut mixture into mini chocolate bar shapes. Once done, freeze the moulded bar for 30 minutes until it becomes secure.
- Step 4: Take 50 to 80% dark chocolate, depending on your taste preference. Melt the chocolate with a homemade double boiling method or by using a microwave.
- Step 5: Dip the pre-frozen coconut bars into the melted dark chocolate. Once the bars are coated generously with dark chocolate, place the bars on a sheet of baking or parchment paper and freeze them for 1.5 to 2 hours.
Your homemade, low-carb coconut chocolate bars are ready! Enjoy them chilled, right out of the freezer.
