This actress is fit and lean and loves to cook. She shared a Christmas cake recipe and we are drooling over the result! She churns out healthy food, gives us alternatives to make a cake healthier. Shilpa Shetty took to her social media handles and shred the video of her baking the cake and here is the recipe. The cake is made of whole wheat and suji, which the fitness lover pointed out, are healthy ingredients which are a great source of good carbs and fibre.
Ingredients:
For The Cake
- Whole wheat atta 1 cup
- 3/4 cup sooji
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup yogurt (alternative for eggs)
- 1 cup date syrup
- 100 gm vegetable oil
For The Sauce
- Any jam you like devoid of sugar.
- Fresh cream or almond milk.
- Chopped almonds and walnuts for garnishing
Method:
For The Cake
Stir the dry ingredients
Marinate all dry fruits in mixed juice fruit.
Mix in all ingredients and beat them all. Now put in all the dry fruits.
Get the baking tray oiled and dusted with whole wheat atta. pour in the batter.Garnish with chopped almonds and walnuts.
Oven should be preheated and then put the cake in at 180-degree celsius for 45 minutes.
For The Jam Sauce
Mix in the cream and jam of your choice and you could also add in the rum if you want.

Let it bake and check if it is done and let it cool down for half an hour and slice it up.
