So Priyanka Chopra and Hina Khan hail Ragi or Nachni as their go-to food for weight maintaining and Peecee also shared that it is really yummy. It is still interesting that Ragi was always there in existence but came into the limelight now. Ragi is super nutritious and has many health benefits as well and when my friend was feeding this halwa to her kid, I too gave it a try and ended up finishing half of it myself (I am not proud of it but it is really yum) For adults we can add a bit more jaggery and play around with the ingredients list. This is a basic one which I though is brilliant! Give it a shot! You have nothing to lose. It is healthy and it is halwa! 'Meethe ki craving' and Healthy, two birds and one stone ladies!

Super nutritious & easy to digest, this halwa is a win win dish!
Prepare all your ingredients, keep them at the ready with the apple peeled and seeds removed.
Puree the apple without adding any water.
Add ragi into a saucepan.
Now add water and whisk it in and make sure you avoid the formation of lumps.
Cook the ragi but keep the flame on medium for a few minutes, until ragi gets cooked and the batter looks a little shiny.
Keep stirring it all so that it does not stick to the pan.
Once the flour is cooked, stir in the grated apples, ghee and jaggery and mix it all very well.
Cook for a few minutes and keep stirring.
Switch off the flame when the batter gets thick and then let it cool down.
Put it in a glass container and then feed it to your child and if you are having it yourself then you tweak the ingredient quantity a bit and have it for breakfast.
