However, nowadays that none of us can step out of the houses, we are preparing all those fancy dishes at home. But something's missing, right? It is the flavourful schezwan chutney that added to the flavour of momos.

Ingredients

  • 8-10 dried red chillies
  • 2 cup boiling water
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder

Step

  • Step 1 :

    In a bowl, add boiling water and soak dried chillies in it for an hour.

  • Step 2 :

    After an hour, strain water and grind the chillies to make a paste.

  • Step 3 :

    Take a pan, add 1/4 cup oil.

  • Step 4 :

    Add 1/2 cup finely chopped garlic, 1 tablespoon ginger. Cook well till golden brown.

  • Step 5 :

    Add chilli paste to the pan and mix well.

  • Step 6 :

    Sprinkle salt to taste, 2 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp soya sauce and 2 tbsp tomato sauce.

  • Step 7 :

    Next add 1 tsp vinegar and mix all the ingredients well.

  • Step 8 :

    Pour 1/2 cup of water and stir. Let the mix boil for a few minutes.

  • Step 9 :

    Sprinkle 1/2 tsp black pepper powder. Mix all the ingredients well.

  • Step 10 :

    Your schezwan sauce is ready!
