Yes, we do love savouring delicious manchurian balls at home, but we all know how hectic it is to prepare them. Instead of getting into so much of mess, simply prepare gobhi manchurian. Not only is it easy to make, but also it is way healthier. Prepared using cauliflower, it is rich in fibre and vitamin B. The antioxidants and phytonutrients present in this vegetable can protect against several diseases by making the immune system stronger. Also, it helps in digestion, boosting memory, and much more. Ingredients

  • 1 cauliflower
  • ½ cup of cup plain flour (maida)
  • ¾ cup of corn flour
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • salt to taste
  • 3-4 large tablespoon oil
  • 2-3 finely chopped clove garlic
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 finely chopped spring onion
  • ½ capsicum
  • 2 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chilli sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce

Step

  1. Step 1:

    Take a wok, heat 2 tablespoon oil on medium flame, add garlic, ginger, and green chillies. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

  2. Step 2:

    Add finely chopped onion, sliced capsicum and sauté until they slightly change colour.

  3. Step 3:

    In the same wok add tomato sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar, and soy sauce. Cook for 5-7 minutes. Also, add salt and pepper.

  4. Step 4:

    To prepare gravy, take a bowl, add 2 cups of water, plain flour, cornflour and mix well. Add this to the wok.

  5. Step 5:

    Keep mixing until the gravy thickens and turns translucent. Let this cook for 8-10 minutes.

  6. Step 6:

    Place another wok on stove, heat 2 tablespoons of oil on medium heat. Add chopped cauliflower and fry until the pieces turn golden brown.

  7. Step 7:

    Once done, add them to the first wok, making sure the sauce has coated well uniformly.

  8. Step 8:

    Lastly, transfer your yummy gobi manchurian to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped spring onions green and serve.
