This World Chocolate Day make those freshly baked, gooey brownies at home. Brownies can be prepared easily at home and add some walnuts to it to add a health factor to it. Ingredients

  • 2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cup sugar

Directions

Mix maida, cocoa powder, and salt in a large bowl.You can buy Cocoa Powder Mix here at a discounted price of INR 198. Next, add baking powder and mix well. Available in the market for INR 250, you can buy baking powder by Pikhere at INR 220. Heat butter in a pan over low flame. Remove the pan from flame when the butter has fully melted. Add sugar, eggs and blend well. Add vanilla extract. Add to the maida mixture and mix well. Next, add walnuts and stir to mix. Spread this onto a greased baking pan lined with foil. Place the pan in a preheated oven at 350F/175C for about 25 to 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove and cool completely. Before it cools complete, garnish with some finely chopped walnuts. Remove the foil and cut into small/medium squares or rectangles. Place a scoop of chocolate flavour ice cream on its side and your chocolate walnut brownie with ice cream is ready to serve. You can store your brownies in an airtight container in the fridge.
