Enjoy some mushroom appetisers at home with this super easy recipe which takes very less time to cook.
Heat oil for deep frying.
In a small bowl, mix in salt and ginger, garlic, all purpose flour, cornflour, garlic green chilli paste. Add water and make a smooth thick paste.
Add the washed and dried mushrooms in the batter and coat them properly.
Place each mushroom in the oil keeping the flame on medium high and fry till golden.
Remove the fried mushroom balls on absorbent paper and set aside.
Heat sesame oil in a wok and then add the chopped garlic and stir fry for a few seconds.
Add the ginger and stir fry for a few seconds.
Add the chopped spring onion whites and saute for a minute.
Add capsicum and stir fry and then add red chilli paste, soy sauce, vinegar, tomato paste, sugar and combine.
Add the mushroom balls and toss for a minute on high flame.
Add 6 tbsps of water and adjust salt if necessary and then mix well.
Add the cornflour water and toss on high flame for a minute or two.
Once it becomes slightly thick due to cornflour, mix in the spring onion greens.
Serve with tomato sauce.
