Idli is a popular breakfast choice not just in South India but all across India. It is simple, nutritious, and satisfying. The best part is that you can experiment with this traditional dish to break up the monotony because there is ample room for it. A variation of the conventional idli dish, matar rava idlis are made using semolina, curd, and a few spices. Idli is steamed cakes, and rava is semolina. Making matar rava idli is easy and quick and has an instant recipe, take a look at the recipe given below:-

Ingredients Required:-
- Green Peas-1 cup(used frozen ones)
- Green Chillies-4
- Ginger-½ piece
- Semolina-1 cup
- Curd-3/4 cup
- Urad dal-1 tsp
- Curry leaves-1 sprig
- Eno fruit salt-1 tsp (or baking soda-1/2 tsp)
- Water-1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Coconut oil-2 tsp
- Mustard seeds-3/4 tsp

How To Make It:-
1. Grind green chillies, ginger, and green peas together to a smooth paste, by adding 1/4 cup of water
2. In a bowl mix the semolina, curd, and salt. Add the ground green peas paste to this and mix in. Set this aside for 10-15 minutes for the semolina to absorb the liquids.
3. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds and then add the urad dal and fry till it turns golden. Turn off the stove and add in the curry leaves. Once the leaves are crispy add this mixture along with the oil to the set-aside green peas rava mixture and stir in. If the mixture is too thick add 1 tbsp water and stir.
4. Place the steamer with water on the stove and grease the idli moulds. Now add the Eno salt/baking soda and stir in. Pour this mixture onto the greased moulds and steam immediately for 10-12 minutes or until a fork inserted at the center comes out clean.
5. Green Peas Rava Idli is ready to serve with some sambar and chutney.
