Gingerbread cookies have a smooth, sweet, and firm texture. It can broadly be described as any sweet delicacy that contains ginger with honey, treacle, or molasses. The flavourful ingredients of ginger, cinnamon, and cloves add a lot of flavours to the cookies. While cooking these cookies your house will be filled with heavenly aromas too. Despite being egg-free, it has the ideal texture and colour, and employs the right amount of powdered spices. Ingredients Needed:-
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar (powdered)
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup jaggery powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 cup refined flour
- 2 cup wheat flour
- 8-9 tbsp warm milk
- 1/2 tsp clove powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder
- 1/2 nutmeg

How To Make:
Step 1
In a bowl, add butter along with jaggery, powdered sugar, and vanilla essence. Then mix these elements well.
Step 2
Sift in the wheat flour, refined flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Add nutmeg, ginger powder, clove powder, and cinnamon powder to it. Mix them well to make a crumbly mixture.
Step 3
Add orange zest with warm milk. Put milk in batches and knead with your hands to make a dough of it. Add more milk if needed. Knead till the dough becomes smooth.

Step 4
Place the dough in a bowl and it let chill for five to six minutes. Now place it between two parchment sheets and roll it out into a dough sheet of approx half an inch thickness.
Step 5
Cut out cookies using a cookie cutter of various shapes. Grease the baking tray, line it with parchment paper, and place the cookies on it.
Step 6
Bake the cookies in the oven at 180 C for 10 minutes.
Once you're done with baking, decorate the cookies with icing of your choice and serve.
