Ingredients

  • 1 cup moong dal
  • 3 bread slices
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 tbsp soya flour
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp garam masala powder
  • salt as required
  • 1 cup sunflower oil
  • 1/2 tsp green chilli paste

Step

  • Step 1 :

    To prepare this lip smacking snack, start with soaking bread slices in water. Squeeze the rest of water.

  • Step 2 :

    Combine moong dal and soaked bread slices along with other ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well

  • Step 3 :

    Shape the mixture into rolls and keep them aside.

  • Step 4 :

    Heat oil in a pan on a medium flame. Fry the prepared rolls in it until they turn golden brown in colour.

  • Step 5 :

    Remove them from the pan and drain excess oil using clean napkins.

  • Step 6 :

    Transfer them onto a serving plate and serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
